Marks 10 gallon

ok im going to try and see if i can do a 10 gallon

first im taping the aquarium and getting ready to paint it

i had one power head model 101 = 80 something Gph

i purchased a 606 today that is adj. up to 159 GPh

so im looking at 230 ish GPH . thats around 23 X turnover.

here is a pick of the taped tank and new power head.

i really think im going to like this power head.

well i have 2 hob filters that i think i will use just for extra flow and possibly the sponge and carbon.

i have around 20 lbs of live rock (currntly dead) that i have put in my 90 for 6 weeks .

im wondering if i can just put southdown sand in the bottom of it. will it turn live from the live rock in about 3 months or so?

i have a used stand and 80 watt orbit pc light comming. i will pick it up this week.

well i painted it tonight . it took about 4 coats of spray paint.

Prob. some softies. i have a colt and a frogspawn and some orange zoos for starters.

Im thinking of 2 perc. or a watchman and a percula

i have a pair of watchman gobies in my 90 and they are cool.

im happy so far with this setup.

heres my 90 that has been running a year this month.

still have a long way to go

im running 440 vho actinics on the 90 with 3 x 175s mhs.

i am going to try the pcs and see what i can accomplish with 80 watts. hmm 8 watts per gallon unless you count sand and rock then 10 watts per gallon. i have seen people having corals just thrive under pcs. so?

i have a small deresa that i want to transfer over from the 90. prob. have to keep him kinda high.

well i took back the small mag float and traded for the next one up . cost me 3 bucks extra. this one is rated for up to 30 gallon.

the small one just kept coming apart and floating to the top

thats the one i bought for my 10 gal and it works pretty good, i use it on my 25gal now, but it's not strong enough to get coraline, or some stuborn algaes around the sand or silacone lol (BTW i can't spell )

well i added a skunk clown 9 dollars locally . only 5 more than a damsel. i understand that a clown fish is in the damsel family. he seems pretty active and eats so im happy. the magnet just got on my nerves. i have a hammerhead that came with my 90 used. that thing is powerful. but at 70 dollars .. i dont think so LOL. that would probably move my tank LOL. will give pic of the clown soon
