Here's my latest addition to my now FOWLR tank.
8" Adult Queen Angel picked up last Saturday from Chris in Fresno. The coloration is just amazing. Body is a SOLID yellow with 2 shades of fluorescent blue (forget the purple color in the photo) with orange/purple highlights on tail.

Minh - Taking a break from SPS and enjoying some of the large angels.
How's your tank coming along? Did you really break down your tank and go with a different grain-sized sand bed? I had a bare-bottomed tank but finally took the plunge and went with a shallow (< 1") sand bed. Grain size is from 0.7 to 1.2 since I still have alot of flow, but thinking about mixing some fine grain just to let the gobbies have more fun sifting sand. Scott

Scott,
Most of the sand has been removed from my tank. I still have sand underneath the rock that won't be easy to remove. I am going to try to remove some more sand, and then replace it with some CaribSea ArgaLive Pink Fiji. I hope to be able to finish it this weekend. ![]() BTW - you had an awesome tank! But I can understand why you wanted to go FOWLR. Post some pictures when you get a chance. Minh |

Minh - I know how much fun moving live sand out from the bottom of a tank can be so hope it all goes well. Please post pics when your done.
I'll post some pics of my tank the next time I dust off the digital camera. PS WMC 2006 was fun. What's next for MARS?

Scott -
Finished removing all the old sand and replaced it with the new sand. I was hoping the aquascaping would remain the same, but some of the rocks shifted. I ended up re-aquascaping. I will try to post some pictures later. Minh |
