Hey Kyle,
A 150w 20k mh with 2X65w pc's or t5's would be perfect. They make some cool little fixtures like the outer orbit or the one on here: http://www.aquauniverse.com/componen...hop/Itemid,31/

That would be really nice, but there insn't one in 30". Plus I am trying to think into the future, lol. I am thinking by the end of summer I may want to get a 40g breeder for prop/growout and then will need a 36" hood.
What do you think about http://www.fishsupply.com/jbjk2vihqime.html One for now and get another when I get a larger prop? Are the pcs absolutely necessary? I have 2 vhos suppliments along with my 250s on my 75g but I don't want to go that drastic you know. Thanks Jen, kyle

I ended up finding a aquamedic ocean light 250w 20k hqi on the selling forum and getting it. It really looks good.
Not quite like a frag tank, but needed more filtration. ![]()

That looks cool! I wonder if some sort of reflective material would be useful on that back wall between the tank and the light fixture. I see where you have to raise the light quite high to cover the tank evenly, but you end up losing a lot of lights on all sides.

Actually I had it at 12" off the water and it covered good. Now it is about 18" and still covers good. The reason that I put it up so high is because of heat and the tank isn't but 12" tall. I just figured to keep the heat down it would be cool like this. My 75g is like 22" tall and then the lights are mounted 6" off the water, so I figured this would work ok for now. I plan on a 24x24x12 at the end of summer (can't wait).
Thanks for the compliment. Do you think the light is to far from the water? Kyle
