live rock and intercepter?

I heard kip mention a while back that when he gets the rock for his 600g tank he was going to treat all of the live rock with intercepter to kill any unwanted critters. I was thinking of doing this as well but had a couple questions. Does intercepter dissipate over time and if so how long does this normally take. I was thinking of putting the rock in the tank and then treat with intercepter during the beginning of the cycle, because I don't really have the room to treat in a Rubbermaid or something like that. But if intercepter does not dissipate over time then I would like to know before I start so I don't have any problems when it is time to introduce the clean up crew. Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Brandon

From reading the red bug treatment guidelines I would assume it lingers (but I can't say for sure). I remember reading that it took 4-5 hours to kill red bugs, so after 6 hours (when all the bugs should be dead) they recommend 25% (minimum) water change and running carbon to remove any residue. My guess is that the idea is to leave it in only long enough to do the job on the bugs, then get it out so there is no chance to harm anything else in the tank. But I have not read anywhere that talked about how long it would stay around if you did not do the water change and carbon. If you are just cycling rock, you're probably going to need to do some water changes anyway, so I'd bet by the time the rock cycled and you were ready to use it (depending on how much water you change) it might be diluted down to safe levels.
