Tiger Tail Sea Cucumber

What do the organs look like in the cucumbers? Are they white and tentacle looking? One end of my cucumber has these tentacles sticking out and I'm wondering if these are his organs and he's dead or is this part of how they eat???

Cucumbers when stressed can eviscerate themselves as a defense mechanism, they can regrow their guts so it may survive. The guts are toxic and can poison your tank though so if they're no longer attached remove them.
