Vertical Halide Orientation

Hello Everyone,

Im currently starting to look at different reflector setups(reflective surface orientations/arrangements), reflective quality of different materials, and orientation of mogul MH bulbs.

I want to find out if, with the correct reflector, mounting a Mogul MH bulb vertically is bad or not. Just wondering if there are any thoughts on the mounting arrangement. I understand that alot of strong light comes from the center where the 'light' occurs in the bulbs, and that would have great strength, (for the corals having this light reach them) but would a quality reflector be able to still allow just as much light with vertical orientation?

Not looking for anything specific, just general responses to the topic! Anything thrown in as ideas could help what im looking at!

Thanks,

Chris
