How long will zoos live in shipping bags? (been at depot since the 6th)

Hmm, just trying to get an idea of what to expect when I get home haha.

I had zoos shipped to me , that have been stuck at the depot since the 6th. They are packed professionally and there has been no leaks (someone picked the order up for me and dropped it off home)

Do you think the zoos are done for? He said there was a bad smell, but that's not to say they are dead. He couldn't get a peek at the zoos over the phone so I am just waiting to see...

Just trying to get an idea of what to expect

I'd say they have a 30% chance of making it if it were packed well.

Well, it's my understanding that the water is clear, but it's smelly.

I think there's some hope... I'll know for sure in a couple hours I guess heh....

Thanks for the post.

Hey Patwa,

Yeah, definitely all greyhound's fault for moving the package to the other depot... man oh man.

I think the bad smell came from a leak. Even if it's only a frag or two lost, then that's OK considering.

I guess I'll soon find out jjust how bad it is when I get home.

They aren't too bad! Some are really skinny and stressed it seems while others look OK, fat polyps.. but they all have a protective film around them, which I was given instructions on how to remove...

Hope they are OK. Next time ask to have them shipped DRY METHOD-in bag and wrapped with seawater moisted paper towels. I've never lost one yet and placed a single polyp in the garage test boxed for shipping during high temps here in FL, forgot about it for 4 days, put it back in tank and it is doing fantastic to this day.

I've shipped that way 2 day priority from Ca to NY with temps in the 90's at the destination. Did very well.
