Please comment on this thread from Advanced Topics.

Randy,

Would you review the "Chemistry" of this thread.
Primarily the 1st post. Would this actually dissolve enough of the sand or crushed limestone to make a difference in the RO/DI water. I thought pH readings of DI water was not accurate?
