Hi Gang, and Welcome to my reef, The tank you are viewing is an 100 Gal. reef with an AGA 55 Gal. Tank being used as a W/D and sump. This tank contains about 300 lbs. Of Live rock from a variety of sources. I also have a live sand bed of about 4". This tank mostly has a variety of softies in it but some of the other inhabitants include fish and eels. I have both a yellow and a purple tang in there as well as two snowflake moray eels an and ocellated moray as well.

The equipment that runs this show is an HSA 1000 Protein skimmer being powered by an Iwaki 55RLT pump. I also have an Iwaki 40 RLXT doing the filtration job. Handling the U.V sterilization of this reef is an UltraLife Reef products 40 Watt VHO sterilizer, with a Rio 2100 pump powering it. I am also running a Neptune Aquacontroller which does the job of monitoring and controlling several other things. I run a CSL Power Cool 1/5 HP chiller and an UltraZone 360 03 generator. I have the Neptune connected to a modem on a separate phone line so I can remotely dial into my tank from my laptop and check the tanks parameters.

For Lighting I am currently running 2 X 175 Watt M/H 5500K bulbs, combined with 2 X 110 Watt VHOs and 2 X 95 Watt VHOs. All Flourescent bulbs are now URIs. Two of the bulbs are Aquasuns and two are Aquawhites. I dose daily with B-Ionic 2 part and feed moderately.

All of this information will change over the next few weeks as I set up my 180 at my new house.

It will have More M/H lighting, more VHO lighting, more rock more sand and a lot more $$ in it.
