How long have you had your system set up? My biocube took a week to rid itself of microbubbles. Second, do you have a skimmer? That could be a source of microbubbles. Third, check the connection from the pump tubing to the elbow elbow in the tank, it sometimes comes loose and causes a venturi to suck in air. HTH

second to what he said ^

i dont know how these tanks are constructed, but is it the water falling down the overflow, and then the bubbles from that getting sucked through the pump?

i will check that becuase a few weeks ago i had to take the pump out becuase my goby swam back there...thanks!

I had bubbles for a few weeks, and then they just stopped. But they did stop around the time I took my bioballs out and replaced with a sapphire skimmer. I highly recommend this. The bioballs are garbage.

When you do a water change, siphon the water from the first compartment. This will pull water from the tank only and not the filtration compartment.

I used to siphon from the third chamber and this drained the filter compartment and air always got trapped under the media.

I had bubbles for days. Then they stopped. Then I did another water change and they started all over again. Vicious cycle.

most people, when doing a water change just takewater from the main tank. Why would you stqar ciphoning and sucking from a tube?

dont i need the bio balls though?

bio balls suck, ditch them. use LR rubble instead.

Bioballs are for suckas that have freshwater tanks.

If you have lots of liverock, you don't need them. You don't even need the live rubble. Put a protein skimmer in. It has lots of benefits. It helps with disease and parasites. Heeps water cleaner. Keeps nitrates and nitrites down. They are so beneficial. I got the sapphire. It is great.
