cyano in refuge??

My Refugium is rufly 5 weeks old and I have some cyano(probably butchered the name) growing in there as well as some hair algea.I have a mag 24 as my return and the full force of my drainage runs through my fuge. Most of the actual flow runs over the top so I'm going to put a small PH in there. But is it bad to have either growing in there?I would guess that the hair algea is o.k. but not the other.

Rather have it growing in there than in the display, do you have any lighting over the fuge?
