is it supposed to be october? not september?

I would like to register today but a little confused. Will MACNA be Sept. 3-5 or Sept 2-5?
The fliers that was handed out in MACNA has Sept. 3-5 but MACNA2010.COM says Sept. 2-5.

I just registered and the confirmation states:

Wow the positive response we received at MACNA this year was overwhelming. When John C. gave the presentation for MACNA XXII and mentioned pricing on tickets,drink specials, food specials, no charge for parking at the hotel if you were a guest, park specials, ect. the crowd went wild.

hey all. so having never been i'm a little confused as to what macna is exactly. It seems like its a trade convetion like the home show.????

mechinic you could say that but I would say it is much more than that. You would have to add that there are some of the biggest names in the aquarium trade giving speeches, a banquet dinner with a speaker and awards given (hobbiest of the year, best club website which ORCA has placed before, ect)., receptions that you can speak to the hobbiest you talk to on line face to face, ect... It is the biggest aquarium conference for hobbiest in the world that I know of. The first one I went to I got 7 hrs of sleep from Friday to Sunday night. It is a blast and a must for the serious hobbiest.

I just got back from my first MACNA, and I can't begin to tell you how much fun I had!!!

I got to chat with some of the most respected names in the hobby and was able to see some of the latest and greatest developments in reefkeeping. It's great for any hobbyist from newbies to advanced reefers. I spoke with reefkeepers from all over the country (including a few from Germany) and got some great tips for my aquariums.

The trade show is great as well...representatives from many different companies set up booths. I've been thinking about upgrading some of my equipment and I got to see my options in action. The prices are about 10-25% off retail (and no shipping!). There are also companies like Live Aquaria, ORA and Cherry Corals there, with some of the most amazing frags and fish I've seen. I didn't purchase any, as I was afraid of trying to get it on the plane with me, but many people did without any trouble.

I'm sorry to ramble on, but I had such a great time! I would highly recommend it!

Just a word of encouragement to the OCRA MACNA team - we will be there the entire week and plan on attending. Just not sure yet if we will be doing the full 3 day weekend or not. Hotel is booked and just need to finalize the flights...which lol cannot be done yet because the systems don't book that far out in advance (unless i'm using my miles, which I won't be).
