SRO 5000 Ext fed by overflow
 

The skimmer has been set up for a week on a new system. I have to keep the water level in the skimmer at the seam where the cone begins to prevent it from overflowing. This is substantially lower than the suggested minimum. Is this normal practice for a break in? What are the typical gphs you guys are feeding these with and where does that put the water level in your skimmer before turning the recirc pump on?
