So Excited UPS comes tomorrow
1 Attachment(s)
I will be starting my journey with a 150 build. I hope to receive most of my new equipment tomorrow. Never set up a tank this size before. So I went for broke and hopefully did not waste a bunch of money. I picked out equipment that I wished I had for my 60g. I had very little success with sps and lps. I did not have a protein skimmer that was easily serviceable and no dosser so my parameters fluctuated way to much. Lighting was another issue mH were expensive for me at the time, so the bulbs did not get changed as often as they should have. Business is good now and we have moved to Buckley WA. Where there are more LFS and people to converse with. Have not gotten into The blog stuff much so this is about the third time posting. Found this on Craigslist and thought it was a good deal. Tank, Cabinet, Canopy, Sump, and Return pump for the cost of a tank.

I get excited too, whenever I'm expecting a delivery.....Unless it's fish or coral, then I'm a pacing, nervous wreck! :uhoh2:

Keep in mind that the canopy in your picture makes it very difficult to access your tank and traps heat. An open top eliminates those problems. You can set it up with no top or make a matching wood rim about 4" tall, either would be much better. You can get a screen kit form Bulk Reef Supply to prevent fish from jumping out. Lights can be hung from the ceiling or L- brackets or attached to the tank rim or wall depending on the type of lighting you bought. Congrats on the new tank
