It’s a variable voltage AC pump so there is no other way to connect it to a battery backup other then via the 110v connections on a UPS. And you need a pure sinewave UPS. I'll make sure about the pure sine wave feature. Concerning the calculation of the lasting time, it would be great if all the manufacturers had the formula, but that is not always the case. However, I have found such calculators in some web pages.
