snails vs hermits?
Hey
Im new to this and i was wondering why people say not to have both hermits and snails. I have a few small hermits and two turbo snails. Should i return the snails?

In most cases, the crabs will eat the snails. The trick is though, to create a beautiful reef tank without any janitors... It's all you...

Did you give him his toothbrush and straw? I do both snails and hermits and snail wise I like turbos and trochus for cleaning above sand and nass snails for below.

+1 for doing both. In fact, I do a mix of snails.

Wouldn't it be better to NOT spend your money on crabs & snails? You can keep the glass & the sand clean all by yourself.... Rocks might be a different story, but if things work out right though, that brown stuff on the rocks might turn purple. Think about it... GL.

Snails only. Trochus, nerites and nassarius.
Hermits are far too opportunistic. I recently gave all hermits away and it's much better. |
