Montiporas acting weird ! Please help!

Hello Guys,

Few days ago i noticed very poor polyp extension on my Montipora capricornis. Its a big colony around 25 cm across. In some spots there were no polyps at all. That i could the the holes in dark colour, no tissue damage or loss. It was the same for few days then today i noticed its back to normal and still is. However today my green digitata and stellata has exactly the same behaviour. My other corals are well. I had some colonies that were about to die but after i changed the light fixture they rapidly started to recover and gain back colour.

The only major change was my lights, 2 weeks ago i switched to T5 lamps.

Plate montiopora added to my tank around 3 weeks ago and the other montiporas are in tank around 3 months.

PO4 is not detectable by Tropic marin test, Nitrates seem to be around 10 ppm.

I thought that it maybe a feeding response as they capture small animals, particles from the water column and thought that maybe its somehow a digestive behaviour . Well i should know better i am a biology student ! )) But i do not )

I d appreciate any opinions, advices.

Thanks a lot

Batuhan
