carpet anemone
I have 3 rose bubbletip anemones I have had for a couple of years now. I had 2 and one split. These have been doing fine. I decided to try a carpet anemone, and put it in my 75 gallon reef. I have mostly sand in the bottom, but a small around of crushed coral on top. The lfs said to just put anemone on bottom. Well, I did and went to work the next day. When I came home, it was upside down on the sand. Called lfs, they said to turn it back over. Went to bed that night, got up next morning, went to work, came home, and it was upside down again. Although this time not looking so well. BTW, it was solid white when I got it. Called lfs again, and they said to put it on a rock. So I put it on a rock. Went to bed, got up, went to work, came home and it was disintegrating. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong? Also, I would like to find another one. Does anyone know where I might purchase one?

It really never stood a chance. White = bleached. Want to avoid any white anemones.
