Overflow kits? Help

I have a 125 All-Glass approx 10yrs old I took down 6yrs ago that I need overflow kits for. The old kits were called twin-flow and had a pre-filter sponge and float on the return to sump pipe. I've not been able to find this exact kit but have seen a Mega- flow but looks completely different. Does anyone know is this replace what I had? My part#is a 29250 corner overflow kit.

The mega-flows are what they use now, short of building your own, I think they are the only ones commercially available.

You might also look into the kits that come w/a glass hole saw that you can install in a non reef ready tank.. I used one on my 90 gallon tank. You can google "glass holes" for the vendor. BRS also has an in tank acrylic overflow but you would need to get a hole saw, bulkhead and what not.

thanks. i went to that website but still did not see a good description of what im needing. i see the boxes (don't need them) but maybe what i need comes with that. do you know?

The Glass-Holes route assumes you are willing to drill the tank, which is by far the best way to go IMHO.
Those siphons are a flood waiting to happen.

ok but what would i do with the existing holes?

Can you post a picture? I believe we are all thinking hang on back overflow that has a box in the tank, a box on the back of the tank and a u-tube that connects them.

I think your title of the thread is what's confusing folks. You don't need an actual overflow kit, you're looking for the plumbing kit that goes into the actual overflow.

As Reefmedic79 mentioned, you can buy the Mega-flow kit which AGA/Aqueon sells, such as this one:

However, most people go the DIY route.

I use the 1" holes as the main drain, and the 3/4" holes are the emergency. My returns are plumbed to 3/4" SeaSwirls, but you have your returns coming over the back of the tank. It works extremely well and once dialed in it's very quiet and virtually maintenance free.

Another overflow design is the Bean Animal Overflow, but since you don't have three holes in your overflow, it won't work.

Don't use those. I have basically the exact same tank and I didn't use the Mega flow kits. Go with the Herbie plumbing method. That's what I'm doing now, but I'm using my 3/4" holes for the main drains and the 1" holes for the emergency drains. There's a ton of information on the herbie system. Read as much as you can and look at photos and you'll get it. Good luck!!!

you're right. sorry for the confusion. im not near my tank right now to send an image but it is a pre-drilled All-Glass brand with built in corner overflows. thanks to all

Try google images and you tube. Also, look at some of the latest pages in the herbie thread. It's so old, those original pics are gone. There are tons of pics in the thread though, you just gotta keeping jumping ahead.
