Questions on the Jebao PP8

I got mine last night and dropped them in the tank. These things really put out some flow.
I was wondering how some of you that have them set them in your tank.
I have 1 on each end of the tank facing each other and slightly pointed up. They come on left, then right, then left, so on. They are about 3/4 power and on setting c with the dial all the way to the right. I like the flow one way then the other way without blowing everything to kingdom come. It also gives me some water ripple.

The other thing I am wondering is the night function. I have an enclosed hood and the back of my tank is painted. Not sure where to mount the controller.
I'm thinking inside the hood wouldn't be good with all the moisture in there and the fact if the sticky tape let go they would drop in the water.
The left of my tank is butted up against a wall and the right is open. Not much for mounting a controller.
Perhaps I can make a bracket to hang it off the side of the tank? it would be ugly....IDK.
Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Dan

Night function not needed..
Like all other electrical equipment mount away from water/excessive moisture..

I wouldn't worry about the night function. I would worry more about having easy access to them & having them somewhere moisture can't get to the controller. The only way I would see the night function working well is if they had the sensor on a cord & u could place the sensor in the canopy & have the controller somewhere dry.

You could mount the controller inside an in-use electric cover if you are really that worried about moisture inside the canopy

thank you for your input.
How did any of you place the PH in your tanks?

carefully.. on a side of the tank..

In general powerheads are to provide sufficient flow for corals to be happy and to prevent any areas from being stagnant and allowing "junk" to collect there..

You want fish poop,etc.. to stay floating around and not rotting in a corner or in a crack..
