I think some of it depends on the type of system you are running, (types of lights, nutrient levels, etc). If your tank meets certain criteria you could stock a 10 gal full of SPS coral (obviously may need to rearrange so frogspawn is not within stinging range). Otherwise you could put some LPS on sand bed or other places. Zoanthids/mushrooms would work as well. I would definitely get a clean up crew consisting of snails and crabs to keep algae and detritus down. Really you could put most any type of coral you want in a 10 gal you may need to eventually frag it. But mostly depends on type of system you are running. For example, I have a 12 gal with the following corals in it: monitpora digitata, multiple types of encrusting monitpora, bubble coral, brain, scolymia, acan, candy cane, frogspawn. I also have about 15 snails and 10 crabs in the tank as well as an urchin for clean up. Fish are the main thing that are limited in a nano, but most corals will be just fine, depending on the system.
