What kind of anemone is this?
My friend got this from Petco and it was sold as Haitian condy anemone. But I have a slightly different thought...

Does not look very bleached, actually pretty good for fresh shipped/new
The area between foot and veracue is normally pretty light in color, disc and tents look good. Score if you got for condy price

It was 10 or 13 bucks. Definitely not a price set for LTA. I agree. It’s not totally bleached. But probably not very obvious in the picture, the tentacles have a weird light yellow-ish color on them. I suspect they used some sort of dye/pigment. Or maybe it’s just my untrusting mind going crazy... Anyhow, thanks for your input! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I don't see a whole lot of dyed nems lately, but transparency from bleached areas can look that way, so often purple nems might look bright pink and so on, and that can look dyed, might be what you are seeing maybe.
But from here looks like plenty of color to start off with, and much better than condy, and at condy price for sure is nice

Thanks for your input! It is much healthier compare to other anemones in the store I saw. I just think its color is on the light side (it looked much darker in the bag). Anyway that’s how they look like when newly came tho. This is the picture taken this morning after it settled in a flowerpot. ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The flower pot is a good idea. LTAs like deep sand beds. If he dug right in, then he should be fine. The thing with LTAs is they often come in with damaged foots and when that's the case, it seems to be a downhill road. If you ever decide to move it, just move the flower pot, don't try to dislodge it. There's too much risk of damaging it's delicate foot.

Thank you for the input. She is still in the flower pot. It doesn’t appear that the foot have any damage. It’s my first LTA, hope she can do well. My clownfish pair is hosted by her now. Let’s see when she can get darker/browner in color because she is quite white with some light neon green shades (I can see some brown on her now but not enough in my opinion of being a healthy anemone).
