tube worms

i'm getting a billion super tiny tube worms on a rock that has my monti cap on it. i noticed a few (about 5 or 6) worms are on the monti cap and after looking for a little i noticed a bunch of tiny white things on that same rock. i saw that they are tube worms. i don't know how they got into my tank, i don't have any other tube worms. so is this bad? should i get rid of them? if so how would i?
