What kind of monti is he perched on there? Doesn't resemble any Montipora specie I've seen. Looks lps like.

Sounds good. The way it has larger mouths spaced farther apart (compared to typical sps) makes me think it's not a monti. It's a nice looking coral and I like the regular ridges. A Montipora would have lots of little polyps along those ridges. Merulina can have regular lines / ridges like that, but I don't think it's that either. I've seen chalices with ridges like that. Neato whatever it is.
