What Kind???
Hi everybody I'm pretty new to this hobby. I know the basics.
I know a lot of people hate on Noobs lol but oh well everybody was new at one time. Anyways I was wondering if anybody can help me identify exactly what kind of clownfish I have. I have looked online but I can't positively identify it. I'm looking to get another clownfish and want to make sure I make the Right Moves thank you guys for your help! |

One of the reasons I'm so confused is because the majority of clowns I've seen have more black. Their find are outline in a nice black whereas mine has only black on his whites stripes. The only clowns I've seen that look identical are the orange clowns which I believe is a hybrid of the marron clown and another clown. I'm hoping this isn't a orange or maroon. I just want to know what it is so I can add a clown he would pair with.

How big is it? It doesn't look like a maroon at all to me. It looks more like a good old Percula to me. My guess is it is a young perc. They don't always have a lot of black when young, but may develop some as it matures.
Just my thoughts, hopefully someone with more clownfish knowledge will chime in soon.

That is quite an interesting clown! The body shape almost looks like a Marroon. I've only kept ocellaris, and the markings don't look like an ocellaris. The face is similar though.
Could be some hybrid. Cool fish either way! |
