Well, the little clown went missing later that night. I'm guessing the anemone made a snack out of him or he jumped out. I'll try again when I find one, at least I know the big clown won't bully the new addition. Unless of course she's a lot sneakier than I am

Here's a new pick of the lonely clown and anemone. A great pic of the two of them is just going to have to wait for a new camera.

Not much to updated, but...

Came across an interesting PE (Zoanthus gigantus) colony at a LFS today. Only a few polyps were open, but they showed some promise. A lot more polyps are opening up and it should come around. Also, the colors are a are a little washed out due to the bright white color of the light over my frag/quarantine tank.

The new anemone is coming along slowly but surely.

You can see some dinos in the photo above. I have been feeding really heavy lately, plus I think my PH has been dropping thanks to switching to a faulty Salifert alkalinity test. Hopefully I can keep it from turning into something serious.

A couple of the mostly brown frags I picked up a couple weeks ago.

As you can see, I get some joy out of getting less than stellar pieces and seeing what they become. I guess it's just an old habit. I used to take home sick and dying corals all the time when I managed a LFS in high school, and some of those ended up being my favorite corals. Also, when I owned my fishfood business I brought home a lot of skinny fish that wouldn't eat. But, back then I had a fish room and over 30 aquariums so for now it's just the ocassional ugly duckling that I think has potential

Pretend I posted this a couple days ago

Well, it has been a tough week for my tank... I had the Dino outbreak. The strange thing is it was mainly growing on polyp, clams, and even my fish. Yes, I said fish, my Firefish had dinos on their dorsal fins. After the outbreak one of the shafts on my Seio snapped and it went unoticed for a full day. A couple of my clams look stresed, as do my Duncans and anemones. The Dinos are withdrawing a little due to minimal feeding, but my plans to eliminate them by increasing flow (among other things) have been put off til tomorrow. Luckily I had ordered some Koralia pumps before the Seio failure. For those of you considering the Seio pumps I'd think twice, they're crap. Had I known it was the same people as the Rio pumps when I got them I never would have considered them in the first place. Hopefully I get out of this ordeal with no losses.

Well, the Dino's are nearly gone. All it really took was cuting down on the feeding for a week. I also switched my 2 part back to recipe #1. The powerheads didn't arrive til today and hopefully they will help get rid of the few problem spots that remain. I think I went a little overboard with 2x Koralia 4's, but we'll see how everything looks over the next couple days.

I'll try to get some photos up later today of how the anemone is coming along as well as the new PE colony.

Nothing really new going on, haven't added anything, but have some new photos to keep the thread current.

Random zoanthid colonies that were some of my first. They're sitting on the sand because I don't know what I want to do with them...

Update on the anemone, not getting as green as I thought it would. Maybe it's going to stay this color....

Update on the PEs from above

Random frags

Random zoanthid shots, the second ones are recovering from zoa pox

PE's there are a few different morphs on this that are not connected to the others. When disturbed each set of colors closes independantly.

Duncans, not in good places for me to get good photos.

A couple SPS shots, the first one just isn't very photogenic.

Clam, it's recovering from being stung by the Roscoe's SPS below it which also doesn't photograph well.

Full tank shot. Sorry, still have the same old crappy camera. Not sure how I managed a shot with only one of the fish being out...

Lighting is 6x39w T5's with Icecap reflectors. I'll let you know when I frag it, though I'll warn you that there are all kinds of things I have been intending to frag for the last 6+ months lol. My prop tank has more colonies than frags in it right now. I hope to get those in the main tank and start filling up all the empty frag plugs soon.

Nice looking tank.

How do you like the Koralia 4's ? I have read some threads where some like them and others do not like the flow ( said they were weak). I am thinking maybe they were not used to the dispersed gentle high flow.

I currently have a couple of Seio 1100's ( 1100 GPH ) and would like to increase the flow in my 75. I was considering a Koralia 4 (1200 GPH) but started to rethink the idea after reading some reviews.

Is the flow from the Koralia similar to that of a Seio ? Have you used Seio before? I am trying to keep from breaking the bank but.......... My other options are a Maxi - mod or spring for a Tunze stream.

I am still kicking around the idea of going the Tunze route but feel it would be a waste to not spring for the controllable models which are bigger bucks.

Great job on the tank.

I just swiched over from using Seio 1100's. One of mine seized up because the ceramic shaft snapped. The flow with the Koralia 4's is spread out a little more than the Seios, but I don't think that's a bad thing. The two #4's is a little much for my tank so I think that same combo would be about perfect on a 75 gal. I also suspect a Seio killed a Bristletooth tang, though I can't prove it I've heard of other people suspecting the same thing. Lastly, I've had no problems with my Koralias not restarting on their own once unplugged, which I can't say about the Seios.

Peter, Thanks for the info. I just may give them a try.
