i was just gonna say the same thing...you need to use a NO.....a NC would almost be useless for this application...now if you could get a NC to open at say 90 or so degrees then you could use it to turn on an additional fan if need be..then have a NO setup there too in case the fans cant keep up..and have it shut down one of the meanwells, or both if you so choose..

Anything further concerning heat, Color? Have you had it up and running for extended times yet?

its ben running for 8 hours aday since i put it up except the last 2 days cuz i took it to a swap to put over my frag tank and have yet to put it up...those temps i took where after 8 hours of running...

well the color is super white with all the leds with the 60 degree optics on them all....i took like 6 optics off of some whites cuz i needed moe of a blue look to it to replacate atinic look that most have in there tanks....im thinking about putting 80degree optics on the whites and leave the 60s on the blues....next time i will get dimming drivers for the whites

Sorry to hear about your crash buddy i know the feeling. Things are looking real good though and man those optics make a huge difference. I am just about to order my LED's but doing some last minute research. I am not sure if i want to use the Heatsink from Heatsinkusa or if i want to go with the Aluminum U Channel enclosed with a fan to get some good cooling going. I just like the u channel more only bc i can always add another channel if i feel its not enough light. But still deciding lol.

Thanks for sharing!
