Bristleworms?

Anyone able to say for certain whether this is a bristleworm or not?

Bristle worms 'usually' have some short white hairs sticking up in a couple of rows along their back and lots and lots of legs. I don't see either in your pic. That looks more like some other kind of worm to me.

Looks like the rock is out of the water... So it looks a little unusual. But that's a bristle worm.

While a bristle worm might be the obvious choice here, I'm not too sure about that. I've been moving bristle worms from one tank to another the last couple weeks and they look much different out of the water and in my hand than the picture above. (except the color)

Correct it is out of water, I dont have any pictures of them in water but they did have white bristles on them. I set the rock outside and there were little shrivled up redish colored worms with bristles.

Harmless to the tank, not so harmless to my fingers...
