Very nice photo DIY!

I am also in the process of building a JBJ28.....stand and canopy first. What is the white material you put down as your base inside the tank, and where did you get it? Thanks.

My last 120g reef was bare bottom and I used starboard on the bottom. Basically it's just white cutting board like you would use in a resturant kitchen. You can get it online at US Plastics but I got mine cheaper at a local resturant supply store. Good luck with your build.

Are you just setting the starboard in or siliconing it in place?
just wondering and if you are not siliconing in place are you worried about
detritus accumulating in between the starboard and the tank?
Thanks in advance trying to figure if im gonna go this route or not.

Nice job btw !

I never siliconed it down when I had my it in my 120g and nothing collected under it. The weight of the Live rock kept it pretty tight to the glass. Once in a while I would shine a flash light to look up under the tank. You could see pods and mini starfish around the edges. I will put just a small amount of silicone on this one. Only because it floats in the water and I want to make sure it stays down since this is a smaller tank. My 120g had plenty of live rock to keep it from floating and moving.

Beautiful stand. Lots of work and thoughts put into that. And worth every minutes must add.

WmTasker - very nice wood work. Really nice.

Question since I'm a bit out of date on the Mean Well power source you are using. What or how are you using the LDD 700's? Are those just supplying the power to the LED's or is it being controlled by some controller or such?

I am using the 700's for my daughters planted tank and a import knock off for my reef tank which used drivers from Steve's. I'm in the planning stage of setting up a larger tank. Seems my son's rose bubble tip wants to out grow his current home of 29 gallons by splitting often. Not sure which source I will be using for this build so figured I'd ask since I've not seen those before.

Again, nice work. And thanks for sharing.

These drivers are really small. I have them hooked up to a power supply that is 48vdc 5.4A. I am awaiting parts to finish my DIY arduino controler for the lights and my reef. The LDD-700 have a 5v PWM input that can be used to control the LEDs
