QT: Treat first and ask questions later?

I've seen varying opinions on the ideal QT procedure, one where you treat all new fish regardless of observation, and the other where you observe for a minimum of 4 weeks, and only treat if necessary.

What is your QT procedure, and why?

Two rounds of Prazipro, followed by TTM, then an additional 1-2 weeks observation. If other ectoparasites (velvet, brook etc.) are present, they will manifest within this timeframe.

IME, "observation only" quarantine is risky, as signs of disease can be easily overlooked. TTM takes less time and is 100% effective if executed properly.

i follow the same as Chris's, except I do TTM first, then Prazi.

why: the only way to protect my other inhabitants. too large of a tank with way too many finned friends to risk overlooking something.

QT: Treat first and ask questions later?

30-35 days of hyposalinity, two rounds of prazipro, one round of Furan 2 or Maracyn 2. Prazipro and anti-bacterial medications are administered during hyposalinity with huge success so far.
