Freshwater Dip Longnose Butterfly?
I bought a longnose butterflyfish three weeks ago, and it has been in a quarantine tank since then. It has successfully completed a treatment of PraziPro, and is now in its 13th day of copper cupramine treatment. I have noticed one very persistent ich parasite on the clear back fin, above the black dot.
In an attempt to remove this parasite, I was contemplating freshwater dipping him. Has anyone had any successful with freshwater dipping a longnose butterfly and then returning it to a medicated tank? I am trying to get him into the display tank after his course of treatment finishes in 8 days. Thanks for all your help. |

Are you sure it’s crypto? Typically there is more than one spot. Can you post a pic?

Sorry for the kinda blurry quality. This is the only white spot that I’ve seen. I did some research on lympho. Is it necessarily a death sentence since there’s no cure?
