Gigas

I have had a Gigas for around 4 years that is every bit of 18". He has not put growth for almost 6 mo. and this AM the inner tissue was coming loose from the shell. is he finally toast? Any one know of flatworm exit adversely affecting clams?

Doesn't sound good. Do you have a pic? If you had a large population of FWs that died, it can severly pollute your system. I've used FW Exit in the past and never had any problems with it. I would do serveral 30% water changes over the course of a couple of weeks, and run fresh carbon every 3 days to remove any toxins.

I saw no flatworms die with this treatment. had some acro bottom necrosis and I wanted to rule out AEFW. Am running Carbon. WC this eve.

Nice tank!

I spent some time watching it... Is it possible that the Powdered Blue has been niping at it? I think I just saw him poking around the mantle.

Thats really cool the live video. Sorry to see your clam is under the weather. I keep seeing the blue swimming near him.

I can see your video but if the mantel is coming away from the shell he probably will not make it. Never saw one come back from that.
