Should we leave our sump turned off after putting over 100lbs of live sand in tank?

We just set up our new 95 gallon tank and we put approx 100 lbs of live sand in. Should we leave sump turned off till the sand settles in? Right now its very cloudy in there...

that will help settle it faster but you dont want to cut off all the flow if there is livestock in there

If it were me, I'd leave the sump on and run filter floss to trap as much sediment as I could for removal. I'f you let it settle with no pumps on, you'll just stir it up again when you turn the sump back on. You'll be right back at square one.
