Worms inside zoas
Hello everyone.
I have had a problem with zoanthus for several months. it does not matter in what flow and where the zoas are. It grows beautifully, into large colonies. Within a few days they close and turn green at the top. It turned out that there were worms in the diseased colony. They make holes in the tissue. Aside from the worms, it looks like there's some detritus in there too. Diping in AF protect dip and lugols fluid does not hurt these worms too much. after a long bath at greater concentration, they seem to be dying. I do not know if they are the cause of the death of the colonys or if they are inhabited by detritus, but due to the fact that they get inside the zoas, I am rather convinced that they are killing the colonies. What are these worms, how to fight it? |
