My hermits are lazy LOL. That is unless they see a shell that they like. My snails seem to clean most of the tank. But I will say that the hermits are really good an eating left over fish food before it breaks down.

Nice additions. Sorry to hear about your blenny. Nothing worse than losing any livestock.

As for naming your fish, are you a Harry Potter fan

Haha, I am a fan of Harry Potter.. I'm a bookworm. I know that several people have called their Potter's Angels Harry, so I'd like to do something different.

Buckbeak is neat, but I don't think it's the name for him. He's too pretty.

Thanks to MarineLifePhotography.com, I was able to ID the white fuzzy worms that are all over my rocks! They're Amathia distans, aka WHITE BUSHY BRYOZOAN.

If only I could take a picture or FIND a picture of what I have on my rock. Glad you were able to ID. Any thoughts on the name? You could always name him Floyd. "Don't worry, I'm a limo driver!"

OK, I just had to share... This is TOO funny!!! This happened in the county I live in. The guy had court today.

http://timesunion.com/AspStories/sto...storyID=699285

He dressed up in a blown up "member" and ran across the stage.

He tripped over his "boys" and was caught and arrested for disorderly conduct.

When asked if police were looking for accomplices, Briscoe joked, "We believe the gunman acted alone."

go because that is a further indication that your water temp is excellent--a criteria for keeping an anemone

If it won't stay put I can tell you a trick that worked for me and others.

Good luck and can't wait to see the pictures also

Great thread Schwe, just found it and read the entire thing. I'm glad things are moving along for you and it's nice to see that the doggy is doing fine as well.

I've subscribed now so I can get up with your tank. Looking forward to reading all about your new addition!

Settling in

I'm no pushover! I'm glad that the male is establishing himself in the tank... if he were a scaredy cat, I think the Anthias would be in trouble.

The pair

The gang

I got these two from a member of the local reef club who was downsizing and taking down his 110. The male is in great condition, the female I am a bit disappointed in. I asked if the fish were healthy and in an established system and he told me they were ich-free, healthy, etc. The female is looking a bit thin and shabby. There is a spot above her left eye that looks like an injury or fungus. I wonder if it is a result of injury against a rock while be caught or what. I trusted this person that the fish were healthy and just put them in without QT. I'm hoping that I don't regret this later...

I think my tank is fully stocked fish-wise now, except for one show tang I hope to eventually get after finding a specimen that I am appy with.

very nice and I have my fingers crossed they will be okay in your display tank

Can you do a close up shot of the eye in question?
