Is this some type of coral or algae?
I recently just came back to reef keeping after a very long time and I feel like I’ve lost a lot of my reef knowledge. I bought some live rock and about a week later I noticed some neon green looking stuff on the rock. The rock looked like some sort of dead LPS coral on one corner and now in those little spots there’s some neon specks.
Is this some type of coralline algae or is it some type of coral? |

That's definitely a coral. It must be reviving. Not sure what the coral is, but it looks like a favia.

Yes - coral.
Pictures under white lighting would be better.
