Algae ID Help

Hello,

I have had my new 28g AIO up and running for about 2 months now and have been fighting some form of algae for the last month or so. I am not sure what variety it is so I wanted to get some help on id-ing it.

Details on the tank:
Skimmer: Tunze 9004 DC

Filtering goes like this:
FilterFloss pre filter changed daily to every other day
Chaeto with grow light running for 8 hours at night
SIporax/ Ceramic Rings
BRS Carbon
Skimmer: Tunze 9004 DC

The salinity is kept around 1.24 and temps stay around 78.5.

I have an AI prime for lighting.

Below are some pictures of the algae, if anyone could help me identify it that would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Nathan

Just looks like normal green hair algae from here..

What are your nitrate and phosphate test results?
Thats whats important..

Why don't you run the chaeto for longer (heck.. 24 hours a day) to have it grow more/faster and out compete the "nuisance algae" by absorbing the excess nutrients?

I will get some better pictures tonight. My tests for nitrate and phosphate both show close to 0 which I know is often the case with nuisance algae since it is consuming the excess. I had read online that chaeto needed a dark cycle like most photosynthetic plants and that it was best to run it opposite the main tank to help keep the ph stable. It is growing fairly fast as it is but I will try upping the light duration and see if that helps.

I increased the chaeto lighting to 16 hours.
