supermarin vs deluxe

hi guys if you help me i will be really happy.
I have deluxe 400 skimmer few days ago one of my friend told me that
2x supermarin 300 better than 1 deluxe 400 because
2xsupermarine 300 cost same with one deluxe 400
but support more liters and has the same pumps on it.
is this true ? pumps model are same but some guys here told me that
model is same but the pumps are different...........
Why is deluxe models are expensive than the supermarines ?

thanks.

First, what size display do you have?? The cost difference between the two has to do with the design and parts of the skimmer body. There are differences in the bubble plate as well as the length of the larger diameter cylinder up to where it tapers towards the neck.

As for the pumps, that really depends on which generation skimmer you are talking about. The Supermarin 300's now come with the RD3 pumps. The Deluxe 400 uses the Red Dragon AC series pumps. Personally, I prefer a single skimmer vs two. It's less maintenance, more efficient and easier to tune. One Deluxe will also be much easier to setup for drier skimming compared to two Supermarin 300's.
