Chaeto reactor LEDs

Looking for suggestions on lights to wrap around a reactor for growing cheato. If you have used a specific item and had good results please share a link to it.

Chose this one simply because it was mentioned in another thread with pics proving it's growth potential.

Here is mine for reference:

When you started using your reactor did you turn off the GFO reactor at the same time or let the GFO run for a bit?

Thanks

The GFO was off for months before I put the chaeto in. I wouldnt suggest doing both at the same time or over lapping.

How long do you run your lights for on the reactor?

Thanks

Best to run it opposite to your DT light cycle.

Roughly 12 hours opposite the DT light schedule.

Yes the two pin "cheap" part was frustrating. I found it easy to simply wrap the reactor with the LED strip while the pin portion was disconnected. Once wrapped and zip tied, I reconnected the pin/plug and haven't had an issue yet. Cleaned it out at least 5 times now and never had it come loose again.

I went with the Marine Depot strip because I knew the spectrum of light would be correct.

I used a two little fishes reactor and a strip of "grow" leds from amazon...I made sure to get the one with the end on it...Soldering to the two tiny little bits gets frustrating.
