I was trying to grab a piece of coral that fell..in the process I must have touched a aiptasia. My arm was burning!! I pulled it out to find the aiptasia had dissappeared but left behind white tentacles. I looked at my arm, They are all over it and its burning!!!!! I have white bumps/blisters!!! What do I do?? I poured lemon juice on it! Is there anything else I can do?? AND NO I am not peeing on it lol!!

I've never had to deal with that myself, but I read on here before that you can soak the area in vinegar and that will dissolve the tentacles. Hope it works out for u

If your not allergic, take an antihistamine to help reduce the pain and swelling, and of course it you feel that it's getting worse I would definitely make a trip to the emergency room.
I wouldn't take the advice of us over a medical professional.

left behind white tentacles which are all over your arm? That doesn't really sound like aptasia to me...could it have been something else? May I suggest going to the doctor?

Ya, check back and let us know your still alive, also I highly doubt aptasia. I would suspect a monster bristle worm.

A bearded bristle worm is a mean fella to mess with. Did they look like slimmy tentecles or tinny white needles sticking out of your arm? It happens to me a lot and all I can do wash it off and the pain goes away after an hour. But worse part is when they sting my hands and they swell up. Last time I couldn't even make a fist because my hand was so badly swollen. Hope you're not allergic and that you recover.

Ask for a steroid creme. It helps reduce the itching

I'm a picture taking fool. So this is something I might have photographed but I doubt that he had time to take any. At least show us some after shoots.

I surely hope you are ok, please let us know how it goes for you.

If this is a bristle worm sting, I believe I have heard people say pour vinegar on it.

If you're allergic than it can be very painful and require a hospital visit. there are tons of threads of people getting poked by those guys, and they lifetime advocates of wearing gloves.

Bristleworms can cause that type of a reaction... more so if you are allergic.

Anaphalis shock, a hypersensitivity to an item such as penut butter, or bee stings. Requires immediate medical assistance. Thats the simple definition, it is much more complicated than that.
