Hi, I understand there is a limitation on length between AC and DC8. I wonder if anyone have tried to use a wireless phone jack device to connect 2 dc8 together?

I wouldn't expect it to work; the phone cord is just the 'wire' it isn't simulating the phone line. You should check with Curt or Neptune as phone voltage could damage the controller, the DC8 or both.

I don't know and I would see anyone has tried it. It is a RJ-11 wire which is 1 or 2 pair like the phone. It sends analog single direction command (I could be wrong on that one). I don't know if it would damage anything.. LOL I would like to find out.

Curt please?

wireless phone jacks are for 2 way communication(Tx and Rx)transmit and receive(tip and ring).phone lines carry voltage believe it or not enought to put you down if your touching them and someone calls.

im not sure of the protocol of the AC signal but i would definately get more in depth spec's before doing a $150 experiment with a DC8.
