I have been running this unit for severals years now, and for what ever the reasons, non of my lights, pumps etc responds to the program.

- I checked the connection from the controller to the DC8, and it's fine.
- I tried the manual control On, Off, and still can't tune any thing off.
- DC8 A01, A02, A05, A06, A07 and A08 has Power but not A03 and A04. (strange)

any ideas?

Thanks

If it's been that long it is possible that the control cable (a 4-wire phone wire) has oxidized and isn't connecting well.

Something else to watch; there are LEDs on the DC8 which should blink to indicate that it is decoding commands (not necessarily commands for itself, just commands on the wire).

If you have > 1 device inline be sure they all have power; if 1 loses power all other devices down the line will not get commands.

I still need help. How can I tell if my controller is not working vs. the DC8?

I tried:
- reboot the unit
-checked the connections
-replace the phone line (the one with 4 linesa)

Thanks

The DC8 has LEDs that flash when it decodes control commands on the wire (not only commands for itself but any valid command). If the LED is flashing then it is likely the commands are being sent.

Neptune can walk you through a communications test build into the controller but you will need to call them or send email to support@neptunesys.com and they will tell yo uhow to access them and how to interpret the readouts of the test.
