Breakout box, float valve

How can I extend the length of my ifloat valve? Do i just take kind of wire and tie it together?

Yup. Any wire gauge will do - I think those float wires are 20 or 22 gauge but even 12 gauge lamp cord will work. Just get something small enough that you can terminate it into whatever you're using as a breakout box.
