New vs old..

Hey everyone, I have a question I'm hoping someone can answer for me. I've been wanting an apex for a very long time. I have been offered an older one at a great deal. It's about 3 years old with little use. Has there been any major changes besides firmware in the last 3 years? Like would I be missing out on some features etc by not buying new?

If it's an Apex, firmware is the only thing that has visibly changed. That and the sticker on the outside of the box! Neptune may have changed/upgraded components on the PC board level, but other than that... ones from 3 years ago work just like the ones sold today. And you can update the firmware yourself easily.

Only other feature you'd be missing out on is a warranty. I'd definitely want verification that it worked before buying it.
