Last night as I was just about to go out the door to leave for the weekend my Apex Lite crashed/shorted turning off everything in my tank. Thankfully I was there as I did not get a text/email alert and nothing went back into Fallback mode.

The only thing I can think of that happened at the time was I was shutting off lights getting ready to leave so maybe it was a short in the Apex Lite.

Initially I thought it was my GFI that tripped (which it never does) so I looked at the Apex and the display was still on. I unplugged my EB8 and plugged it back in then realized that the status light wasn't coming on the Apex Lite. The status light on the EB8 blinks amber and the display no longer comes on. The only light that functions on the Apex Lite is the Ethernet port light. I don't have the power supply to see if it will turn on that way but I'm not sure if that will even help.

Any thoughts on trouble shooting this? I'm guessing I will need a new base unit but I hope my EB8 isn't suspect either.

Thanks,
Tim

Sorry to hear that it happened when you when you were just leaving out of town...from what you are saying I would open a Support Ticket (https://www.neptunesystems.com/support/contact-support/) with Neptune

As an update, I was unable to troubleshoot the unit and am getting a new one sent out. They can't repair the Apex lites unfortunately.

Huh?

Are you sure you understood that correct? I can't fathom what would make them unrepairable.

Well I'm sure they can but I was told that they don't because they are no longer in production. They don't make the boards anymore...
