looks like you're off to a really good start! It's certainly easy to catch the chalice bug, haha I know that I have in recent months.

Nice collection. IMO, every other coral out there is a gateway coral that leads to chalices .

Wait till you get your hands on a super bright watermelon chalice! It's more pricey but since I started collecting that's what I spend most time looking at in my tank.

I used to think that I would never care about named chalices.
Then I bought a Bazooka Joe frag..

Game over.

Guys,
Do you buy frags or full colonies? I was able to get what you see at my LFS for great prices... Do the frags take a long time to grow??? The larger colonies just look so much nicer....

Steve

i keep an eye out for people selling their collection. then me and a few friend will all go in on the colonies price is much more reasonable and you get a good size piece for half the money.

If they are happy many can grow quite fast. I have a watermelon colony that grew from a quarter sized frag to near dinner plate size in about 2.5 years.
