It is real. Once you understand what you're looking at, you get it. When I first saw it, I drove around the block to see it again.

My sign post photo.

Please note how I included a piece of the sign so you can see this is in fact a sign post and not just any arbitrary type of post. I don't know what the excitement is about or where the opportunities for creativity lie with this very mundane subject.

Must be from California. If you look at my post, you'll see a real sign post. Not some over-rated, square, powder coated section of aluminum. What's this world coming to???

well, apparently you hafta live in the boonies to truly appreciate a good sign post like the one near the butcher shop in town. there used to be an old wooden bridge across a creek. there was never more than 2" of water in that creek but when the bridge fell in, they put up a sign that said "bridge out, cross at your own risk".

and then there's the little tiny cemetery where there's a sign that says "cemetery", like you wouldn't already know??

jesse's reminded me why i NEVER drive in the city!

i'm gonna give this one to johnike 'cause at least he used a little imagination.

Y'all must be dyslexic or something. The theme was "sign posts", not "posted signs".

If the "must be a fresh pic" rule weren't in effect, I'd have posted one of these two.

From a diner in Montana. Especially true with me there.

While on lunch in SF, I came across the gem on an A frame sign outside a bar.

Went a long way for this.

The wife helped with this one.

Good one! I am reminded of the scene in A Clockwork Orange when Malcolm McD is getting busy in fast motion to the tune of the finale of the William Tell Overture.

I figured it meant pull over, do your thing and be quick about it. Those signs are all over the park. There's one every quarter mile or so. I wonder if the park has stock in Viagra???

Clearly! And there is that nice wide shoulder...

You could start calling it "3rd Date Park" and see if it catches on.
