Pierre's Aqua Reef 400
Hi all,
It's been a while since I posted anything here (mainly just live chat in Tapatalk) so I thought I would share my AR400 journey. So far it has been relatively drama free aside from a Dino outbreak which seems to be at the tail end and a small problem with ich whch I cleared from the fish in a hospital tank and be good ever since. I'll take some more photos tomorrow during the day when the lights have been on for a while. Equipment: JNS C02 Skimmer (amazing but of kit) 2x Hydra 26HD Lights 2x RW-8 wave makers Jager heater Aqua One 2800 (I think) return pump Corals: Lots Hammers, Scollys, Michrooms, Stylo, Torch, Gonis, Duncans, few I have missed. Fish: Fire goby pair Snowflake clown pair Lawnmower Blenny Royal Grammar Juvenile vlamingi tang (will be moved on when it gets big). Inverts: Red Line cleaner shrimp Various snails Small magnifica A naughty crab that's in my sump CoCo worm Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk |

Tank update.
I have changed my scape around and added in some sand. Waiting for the algae bloom to come but currently it looks amazing :-) https://youtu.be/fmCbyOI3M1I Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk |

Amazing, how big are your clams? My mom had a large clam shell of that type, it was close to 1ft across. I'm wondering if I'd be able to add 1 successfully in my 40 gallon tank? I already have a scarlet lipped scallop, and some say they're hard to keep.

Should be ok! But they absorb a lot of trace elements apparently.
It's about the size of my fist.. maybe 10-15cm across. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk |

Last night I added on a 3rd Hydra 26HD... amazing!
No more shadows and really brightened up the middle section. |
