Profilux doser problem

My profilux doser (6 months use since date of purchase has been restricted to dosing with channel 5 and 6 only - the unit is run off a standalone programmable profilux doser) has developed a fault.

I noticed it this morning when all four dosing pumps had activated and were pumping at the same time - before switching off in line with standalone doser programme. I found this particularly strange as doser channels 7 and 8 are not programmed to run by the standalone doser. On further inspection I found none of the 4 manual dosing buttons work either (pushing in the buttons does not result in the doser pumps activating).

Switching off and restarting the units does not make a difference. Units are setup away from the tank to ensure no contact with water. Any ideas?

Otherwise nothing but praise for these products - just looking forward to have a working unit again.

Most likely (99.9999% of the time) reason is water has got into the bottom left front corner where the ribbon cable joins the motor mount board and corroded the pins thus creating a short.

Take the unit apart including removing the front black motor mount board and take the ribbon cable off noting the direction it came off. Check the pins.
