osmolator nano 3152 problems
just picked up the osmolator hopping it would be more reliable then my old ato. since I first hooked it up it hasn't worked right. I have there float switch in my return pump chamber of my sump and it holds roughly a gallon of water (5x10). I attached it at my desired water level, set the controller for the larger size aquarium, put a spacer between the magnets and the glass, plugged it in. I after a while the water level is below the float switch. ill the reset the power and it will pump for about 10 secs usually and sometimes its only a 1 sec pulse. so... ill keep resetting the power till theres enough water in the sump and do one more reset. water level drops again. the chamber its in is small so I know its not exceeding the max pump time and shutting itself off. but the 10 sec and pulse pumps are symptoms of the pump running to long from what the directions say. I don't know what else to do with it. ive turned to forums because tunze has not returned my emails. please help. this is also my method of dosing kalk.

I believe we spoke yesterday and I am sending a pump? Are you in the US? Are you emailing Tunze at sbcglobal dot net? I have returned every email I have received through the last 30 minutes so I am puzzled by your comments. The issue is most likely the pump. Please keep in mind that using the pump in kalkwasser voids the warranty on the pump and greatly reduces the pump life, it still should last at least a year but kalk is very hard on the pump due to the high pH, it damages the seals.
